Using music to convey messages of health education and prevention to the general public. This is the idea behind the participation of ASSET to the Verbier Festival [8], one of the most prestigious music festival in Europe.

On July 30th, the classical music international event will host “Concerto for Piano and science” [9], a public workshop where public health messages and high level classical music performances will take turns in stimulating the audience.

The Russian piano player Andrey Gugnin [10], laureate of the international Beethoven and Gina Bachauer competition, will make a stepover in Verbier during his world tour to participate in this unique event. He will perform on the Bösendorfer grand piano 12 Études opus 25 by Frédéric Chopin as well as the sublime but rarely heard Sonata Romantica by Nicolaï Medtner. The piano pieces will be accompanied by the presentations of six international scientific experts, who will explore different topics ranging from public health to neuroscience: the aspects of individual and collective health (Dr Ariel Beresniak); the music's impact on the brain (Dr Pierre Lemarquis); the cognitive effects of the early music education (Hélène Vareille); the human epidemics of animal origin (Dr Donato Greco); the epidemics response strategies (Dr Sylvie Briand); the various defence mechanisms that the communities can employ against future pandemics (Dr Alberto Perra).

This event will be organized on July 30th at 4 pm in the modern auditorium of Espace St Marc, Route de Mauvoisin 45, CH 1934 Le Châble, Switzerland.

Entrance is free with online pre-booking at https://fvf-autresmanifestations.shop.secutix.com/ [11]
