The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) has decided to hold a two-days conference [13] in Riga (Latvia) with ministers and high level representatives from the Ministries of Health, Social Affairs and Finance of the European Union, European Economic Area and Eastern Partnership Countries as well as high representatives of the European Commission, members of the European Parliament, representatives of international institutions, and non-governmental organisations, communities and people affected by TB, in order to boost commitment and ultimately favourably impact on TB prevention and care.
This conference aims at discussing sustainable health systems responses to support tuberculosis prevention and control globally, reduce the burden of tuberculosis and Multidrug Resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) and to ultimately eliminate TB and MDR-TB in EU/EEA and Eastern Partnership countries.
