The 2015 ESCAIDE [14] conference will take place on 11-13 November 2015. It will be hosted at the Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre, in the heart of the city. The ESCAIDE programme will offer a huge range of exciting presentations, posters, seminars and workshops on all aspects of infectious disease prevention and control. The conference aims at: (a) sharing scientific knowledge and experience in the field of communicable diseases surveillance, prevention and control in Europe and internationally; (b) strengthening and expanding the professional network of all involved in this field; (c) providing a dedicated platform for EPIET, FETP (field epidemiology training programme) and EUPHEM (European Public Health Microbiology Training Programme) fellows to showcase their work. Abstracts are welcomed in all areas related to applied infectious diseases.

The target audience for the conference includes epidemiologists, microbiologists, clinicians, veterinarians and public and environmental health experts with a professional and scientific interest in infectious disease surveillance, microbiology and associated disciplines, and their application to prevention and control of communicable diseases.

The conference aims at bringing together several groups of people involved in these areas including representatives from EU/EEA National Public Health Institutes, members of Surveillance and disease-specific networks, and EPIET/FETP/EUPHEM fellows and alumni. The audience also includes governmental, non-governmental and academic researchers from across Europe and the globe.
